Default Pressure washers

Does anyone have any experience using a pressure washer to clean a pond and/or
creekbed? I have a water feature with a 30' X 5' creek in fun sun and the
algae grows like crazy. I can clean it OK with a garden hose but I think I
could do a much better job with the pressure washer. I've been told that I
could damage the liner this way. Any ideas on what PSI would be safe?

Yes, I have a 2400 psi pressure washer and it works great for cleaning
the pond. My liner is 45 mil Firestone EPDM though, I wouldn't try it on
anything thinner. I also don't hold it closer than a foot to the liner
or else it WOULD cut right through the liner.
