New Fish
wwellllllllll,
not only that.......... but if you cannot catch the fish,, the quarantine tank is useless except for new fish. ok, how do yOU , who can. catch your fish???? "BenignVanilla" wrote in message ... wrote in message ... tsk, tsk ... no quarantine? you gotta get a 100 gallon rubbermaid and have it always set up waiting for this kind of contingency. Ingrid snip Wow! Ingrid, I was really expecting you to slap my knuckles faster then that! *Laugh* I am taking a chance. I know that, but right now I don't have the equipment/space/manpower to manage a quarantine tank. Flame away. BV. |

New Fish

netting across the top held on by elastic (fabric store), a bucket filter and a couple of airstones. Ingrid Even better, imo, just put the pump in the Q-tank, pumping up to the bucket that spills into the tank, great aeration from the spill over, a bigger bucket can be used, and more space in Q-tank for fish. If one has a large enough pond filter, take some of that material and put in the new filter, faster cycling time dependent on how many fish and their size, and how much material you take out. With my pump chamber I have room to keep my Q-tank material active while Q-tank is not in use. Another plus for the Jordan filter. ;o) ~ jan See my ponds and filter design: http://users.owt.com/jjspond/ ~Keep 'em Wet!~ Tri-Cities WA Zone 7a To e-mail see website |
