call Jo Ann 251-649-4790
I havent heard of fungus around the eye before. Ingrid (Marianne) wrote: Hello, My koi that I have had for 13 years has some white fuzzy stuff growing from the folds around the edge of one eye socket. I have read about Formalin and Malachite Green and treated the entire pond every other day for 10 days. The eye appears to be the same. All other koi and goldfish in the pond seem fine. The affected koi has become more "shy", not wanted to eat food unless it floats away into a more private place. I think he feels fulnerable to the other fish, and/or cannot see very well. Any suggestions on what to do please? Thank you Very Much in advance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List Manager: Puregold Goldfish List http://puregold.aquaria.net/ www.drsolo.com Solve the problem, dont waste energy finding who's to blame ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Unfortunately, I receive no money, gifts, discounts or other compensation for all the damn work I do, nor for any of the endorsements or recommendations I make. |

wrote in message ... call Jo Ann 251-649-4790 I havent heard of fungus around the eye before. Ingrid Saproglenia Fungus causes a cottony growth over the eye, and is treated by malachite green, copper safe, or forma green. Since she has treated the pond with malachite green for 10 days with no good results, that may not be the problem. Here is a chart of fish eye disorders: http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/fish_diseases/eyes.html The page contains links to various diagnostic charts. Enjoy. I would think it would also be affecting the gills of the fish and the eye problem
would be least of its worries. Ingrid "George" wrote: wrote in message ... call Jo Ann 251-649-4790 I havent heard of fungus around the eye before.
