millipedes all over the place!

Inside they quickly die from lack of moisture. And
they're harmless, except for the strong 'yuck' factor..

I've tried: Diatomaceous Earth, vinegar, beer...

Millipedes are saprotrophs (consumers of decaying organic matter), so
I would guess that they tolerate vinegar well... and lap up beer.

Diatomaceous earth might do them in long-term but not prevent them
from first entering your patio or your house.

Seems like they come out with the cool weather, but this year they're
everywhere. Probably 50-60 of them just crawling around the back
patio. Are they attracted to the heat? light?

Likely this summer's heavy rains led to a millipede population
explosion. Now they're migrating, possibly looking for protected
places to hibernate.

I would try an orange oil solution (4oz./gal. of water) sprayed around
the edge of your patio and anywhere you think a millipede could enter
your house. We've used it for ants, and that insect at least *will
not* cross an orange oil barrier.
