Source of heirloom tomatoes
I just ordered a few very interesting tomatoes from this site:
http://www.heirloomtomatoesoftexas.com/ I got an email from the owner saying he'll be coming to the garden show on Zilker park in late March, so I can save money on shipping if I pick up my order then. Sounds like a plan to me! -- Victor Martinez Send your spam he Email me he |

Haven't had time to really look at the site, but I suppose that many of the varieties are not v/f resistent and so it's best to plant them where tomatoes have not recently grown. Please report (when you know better how they've done) what your experiences are with which varieites--yield isn't important; hardiness and flavor are, and it goes without saying that all tomato plants are beautiful. |

Yes, it's a really fun event. It is. There is a guy who usually comes. He's in a wheelchair and sells brugmansia and datura. I think I missed last year. At some point, don't I have to stop this insane plant collecting? I mean, I have almost 400 different plants in the gardens! Pretty soon, this will be a prairie with some paths between. Not the sort of thing which generally goes over well in a sub-division. Fortunately, we're 1/2 acre zoned and we all do what we want (no HOA thank goodness), but I am having a hard time finding things I don't already have! Eh, it's fun... Victoria |

With tomatoes, I have awful timing. This past year I had mine in the fall, in containers. They are all in the greenhouse now, putting out flowers and look pretty good. I do have on heirloom, 'Brandywine.' If I can get some fruit from that, I will be very happy. victoria On Sat, 21 Feb 2004 13:56:02 GMT, Victor Martinez opined: I just ordered a few very interesting tomatoes from this site: http://www.heirloomtomatoesoftexas.com/ I got an email from the owner saying he'll be coming to the garden show on Zilker park in late March, so I can save money on shipping if I pick up my order then.
