Default Perlite Proportions

What proportion of Perlite to Compost should one use for planting
cuttings/seeds ?

Thank you!

Following taken from bag of J Arthur Bowers Silvaperl Perlite.

For soft stem and leaf cuttings use a mixture of equal parts perlite and
spagmun moss peat such as Hortus Garden Peat.

For harder cuttings and for fragile plants increase to 2 parts Perlite
to 1 part peat.

I prefer Vermiculite for propagating, and move on to Perlite for more
established plants. YMMV.
