I need a fast growing perennial climbing plant to cover a trellis on my
garage wall. The area is about 20ft long by 10 ft high. Ideally I'd
like this to flower at some point during the year, or at least have
nice looking leaves.

The garden is south facing and the wall in question faces East (ish).
The soil is of the standard (possibly) chalky variety.

I did have a go at a clematis but a) it didn't grow very quickly and b)
it just died with the frost.

All suggestions welcome...
