Hi i planted about 100 blubs last year and what i've seen so far most
have come up but they have started to flop over, some of these are
under raised hedges so really they are protected by the wind.

What is causing this, is it becuase i have planted them too shallow?
(planted them approx 6")

It's because they're 'blubs' and 'blubs' don't like to be planted. I
think.

Seriously ... Are the flowers opened? Do you have lots of leaves on
them? Is there a discolouration? Do you have a flower on all the plants?

My guess is they are, or at sometime been allowed to get too dry, plus they are competing with the hedge for nutrients.

The planting depth is fine. I suspect that your bulbs were dug up
before the foliage had time to die back and feed the bulb. And if
they're close to a hedge, they may have been short of water and varoius
nutrients. I should think that next year you'll have no problem.

So i should be okay next year then, they are new ones this year.
