Default Depth of bulb planting

I am planting bulbs in a border consisting of crocus, daffodil, snowdrop and
autumn crocus. What depth should I plant them and can some be below others?

As a rough guide I allow twice the diameter of soil above the bulb and yes
they can be planted over and under to great effect
