A horrid insight, albeit clinical and staged, into the meat industry.
Now add the fact that there are billions of animals slaughtered
globally, in factory farmed conditions, nothing like the staged show
we have seen. Then we can wonder what kind of person can be involved
in that industry!

You and many others find modern meat production methods objectionable yes,
but think for a moment. The system in this country is strictly controlled
with laid down rules and conditions both for safe, wholesome meat production
and with consideration for minimal pain and suffering of the animals going
to slaughter. Government vets are in attendance at all markets and slaughter
houses, back street abattoirs have been closed down. Long gone are the days
when a pig/lamb would be fattened in every other back yard and slaughtered
by any Tom Dick or Harry that could wield a knife.

Me, I eat and enjoy eating meat, the flesh of other animals is what I thrive
on. I grew up with street celebrations around a home slaughtered pig. I have
killed my own creatures in my own backgarden (gardening content), prepared
them for the oven, and enjoyed eating them in the knowledge that they had a
decent life and a quick death, but no longer do so in line with modern
thinking.

I believe youngsters should know where their burgers and sausages come from,
and see no wrong in showing them, but am unable to comment on the content of
the show you refer to as I did not even know it was being shown.

I just noticed, you have sent your post to many other newsgroups, what
exactly is your objective?
