Default Strawberry anthers

I'm growing strawberries in window boxes. All the plants look very
healthy and are growing strongly. However I've noticed with some plants
the first flower or two to open in a truss have dried up brown looking
anthers. Consequently the fruit doesn't properly set as the pollen is
either non existent or dead. Later flowers have normal looking anthers
and the fruit sets ok.

Any ideas please?
