Friend has a petrol lawn mower, runs on 4star petrol, can he use unleaded
petrol,
He says getting 4star difficult

If its a very old machine then tell him to use an additive. These are
available to emulate leaded petrol. If not so old it will probably do little
or no harm. The most common problem after using unleaded in leaded engines
is the valve seats will wear more quickly.

You can still get leaded petrol,

I think this site has a list of all garages that sell it.
Used by the vintage car and stationary engine guys.

If it has a Briggs & Stratton engine made in the last 40 years or so
unleaded will be fine. They were built for unleaded fuel long before
it was even available in this country.
