Default Wetting agents for onions again

Thanks for the replies I had concerning the use of wetting agents.I
think that I will try both methods that were suggested -non biological
washing powder at 1/4 teaspoon/litre and one or two drops/?? of
washing up liquid.
Have the contributors who suggested these tried these wetting agent
solutions on onions, and,if so,when do they spray?
Michael
