It helps if you are confidendent handling these particularly if they have been in place for some time. The clips tend to fly off despite care being taken. Loop a piece of string round your belt and attach a bulldog clip to the other end. Attach bulldog clip to spring wne attemting removal. Tedious, yes, but saves losing them in the shrubbery |

Green House dismantling
In article ,
says... I've been offered an aluminium green house, 6ft by 8ft. No charge but I have to dismantle/re-erect it. I've no experience of such an operation and I can't just remove the glass and carry the frame as I'm 4 miles away. Should I go for it or will it be more hassle than it's worth? mark Easy to do mark but I would suggest going on-line and purchasing all new spring clips before reassembling and also tape the glass together in small amounts for carrying as its very heavy but the actual taking down and putting up is very easy. Note as has been said on this group many times before always start on a level base and get everything square (measure the diagonals) if you are out the glass will not fit back in! -- Charlie Pridham, Gardening in Cornwall www.roselandhouse.co.uk Holders of national collections of Clematis viticella cultivars and Lapageria rosea |
