But we're not discussing laundry, that would be OT on a gardening group.

Janet

Not necessarily. Our clothes line is in the garden. Doing the washing
needs to be co-ordinated with mowing the lawn as the line gets in the
way.

We also need to temporarily remove a bird feeder as otherwise the
little wonders feed and hop onto the line to c**p on the washing.
Birds are on-topic here.

So laundry may be on topic

You grow your own sheets?

Doesn't everyone?

Being just a bit younger than some, I haven't graduated to sheet trees
yet; merely growing Davidia involucrata at the moment.

Lucky you, has it reached flowering age yet? You can sew all those
handkerchiefs together to make sheets.

(Reminds me of some girlie magazine in about 1960 that showed us teen
girls how to make a bikini from 4 man-size hankies)

Whoops, sorry, missed the wink off ;~). I wuz joking.

I don't know if men's hankies were thicker in those days but any of
mine become semi transparent when wet.

Never had to test it, we mostly went skinny dipping.
Janet.

Some great responses here, thanks!

I have dug up the one at the front of the house - its got out of control... After one year of growth the stem (or Trunk!) was about 3" in diameter!

Since i've been looking into this i have seen a couple of these plants down my street now.
