Looks like a nice tree why has it got to come down?
Is that window part of the main house, it is a bit close...
Or has the bifurcation lead to heart rot in the lower section?

There is a rot in the lower trunk and disease in the roots which is causing
branches, some of them quite large, to fall.

Behind the wall there is a public path. The building is the swimming pool.

There is a TPO on it and the tree surgeon is seeking permission to fell it.
Because of the size and location, a crane has got to be used.

Shame I hate to see mature trees felled but there always comes a time
when there is no option. But at least you'll have a good supply of
excercise and firewood.
