yes here also, the sun will have to get its proverbial skates on if it's
going to heat anywhere by 19c tomorrow. it's actually quite cold out in
the garden though there's no wind as such. It rained a bit this morning
whilst I was in the gym but only drizzle, but the ground is damp.

It is still 10C at 23:16, the forecast for Sunday has been upped to
22C

Our forecast for Sunday is a top of 12c
David @ the damp end of Swansea Bay where we are still waiting for the
"Heavy" rain that was forecast .

Rain showers and heavy-ish winds here. And a husband in bed with a lurgy!

Let's hope he gets over it quickly, and it's nothing like the thing I
had/have.
I'm on my 2nd set of anti biotics, this time to try to get rid of bad
throat.
At least with the dull and damp weather bed isn't such a bad place.

Oh dear I hope Ray gets over it quickly, he might miss the summer. :-)
It's 17C and overcast. There's not much wind.

I think we had summer one day last week. Still windy, rain coming in!

Matthew has had it and has the most terrible cough but getting him to a
doctor is like pulling teeth without anaesthetic! It does seem to be
doing the rounds but not as badly as the winter bug.

Here in London the wind speed is said to be 20mph, but the eucalyptus in
next door's garden is virtually bent double. I'd say this is a gale

We had summer today. 21C this afternoon. It is still 14C now at 23:21
It's the first day for months that the central heating hasn't turned
on.

Keep it up! We're coming to Middelburg tomorrow! Today we shall be in
Brussels.

Too late! It is 11C and autumn already. The next warm day is
Wednesday.

Ok, that'll do. We're there until Thursday. So, off we go to the Tunnel

eh? we've all been watching it for several years now Granity and
frequently have urged others to watch it.

Unfortunately it has now been 'nationalised' and instead of the four
unassuming, expert gardeners who used to be the presenters and did a
really good down to earth job, we now have 'personalities charging
around 'helping' people in their gardens. No doubt they'll show him
jumping over stiles and gates or winging his way around in a helicopter etc.

Always liked Beechgrove up till now, will still enjoy the other bits IF
and only if they don't try to 'gardeners-world' it all.

All you vociferous doom and gloom soothsayers who predicted the rapid demise of Beechgrove seem to have gone awful quiet all of a sudden, could it be it's because the programme hasn't self destructed? Even C.B's contributions are in keeping with the rest of the show.

I think it is an excellent show which nicely complements the 'Nigel show' with Monty Don. What we need to do now is to agitate to get it on in the evening to replace one of the endless repeats of Dads Army or similar.

Gardening doesn't need celebs
Anyone who presents a national TV programme will, if they are any good at it, become 'A Celebrity' Geoff Hamilton is a good example of that.
