Default Odd stuff in soil

While doing some weeding just now (to get rid of that blinkin' awful
oxalis!!) I found a clump of what looked like eggs of some sort under
the soil and not knowing what they were I wonder if anyone knows? They
were white, almost transparent, about the size of a peppercorn and in
a clump of about 50 or so. We do get a frog in the garden - any
connection?

Slug or more likely snail eggs.

They'll be snail eggs.

Frogs only lay in water, and much earlier in the year.

You are unlikely to succeed unless you use glyphosate. We failed for 20
years till we used roundup.

Thanks for the advice folks, next time I come across the eggs I'll
throw them away. As for the oxalis..... any ideas how best to get rid
of it apart from digging up by their stubborn little roots?

Only glyphosate or paraquat work. Every minute little piece you leave
behind when weeding mechanically will thrive just to annoy you next season.

No, that sounds like snail or slug eggs.
