Like everyone I found it great, I was especially interested in the chap

I remember a vegetable gardener once telling me that if you plant
Tagetes erecta (African marigold) with your carrots, you won't get carrot
fly, it seems they don't like the smell. He also told me that if you chop
up rhubarb stalks and dig them in when you are planting out young cabbages,
you won't get cabbage root fly. This I have tried and I didn't, neither did
my cabbages!
