Hi, we have a large patch of moss at the moment showing bright green even
though it is winter.
on the packet of 'Evergreen' it says to use between april to september.
is it worth trying to use evergreen at this time of year on the moss
please?
Or any other suggestions?
many thanks. john west

Put a lot of lime on it; alkaline conditions will kill it. If you want to
knock it out quick, sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on it. Follow that with a
good liming to raise the pH of the soil.

Yup. It is one of the best lawn plants around.

If you do kill the moss now, you will just be left with a bare patch
until spring. Your choice.

| Or any other suggestions?

Learn to love your moss :-)

Not really. You can't make the grass regrow until it gets warmer.

Or any other suggestions?

Improve the drainage and adjust the pH with lime. Your problem is pretty
fundamental - on waterlogged soil in winter conditions moss wins.

You could alternatively learn to love moss. Moss gardens are popular in
Japan.
