Default Phoenix theophrasti

I am sure that I remember reading a posting to this newsgroup, during last
summer, from an 'urger' who has a garden collection of Palms, including a
Cretan Palm, Phoenix theophrasti. I have a fine specimen of P. theophrasti
grown from seed collected in 1984, growing in an outdoors tub. So far, I
have brought it indoors for the duration of any frosty weather. Now having
grown to just under 5' tall, it and the tub is getting too heavy for me to
lift. However, I did manage to carry it inside yesterday, but not much
longer. My question. Could I safely leave it outside near the house
protected from frost and/or snow by bubble wrapping it? I would hate to
lose it.

Thanks.
