Default Greenhouse temperature?

I've put some seed potatoes in the greenhouse inside a plastic
cover, there's a name for it, but the senile decay is stopping me
from remembering it!

Over the past twenty-four hours the temperature have gone from
28 (-2C) to 98 (37C)

Is it safe to leave seed potatoes there under these extremes of
temperature?
