You don't get this sort of problem with a cat.........

Oh yes? Come and have a look at what the neighbours' cats
have done to the stem of my .Metasequoia glyptostroboides.

Are you quite sure? The trunk of mg is naturally deeply fissured,
rough and fibrous, looking very much as if something has been
sharpening claws there.

In the case of the top of my fence panels, it WAS cats sharpening their
claws :-((

*Your postings are a little more gentle these days Barraclough, taken what
has been said in the past about your abruptness I see :-)) Nice one. Keep it

You are obviously disappointed, judging by your provocative reply.

Not at all Rusty, I am delighted. There is no need for the 'Spinster School
Marm' attitude to any response on this newsgroup. Go and look at her
response to the 'coldframe' poster. That would have been a one liner, 'There
is a FAQ for that. Newbies are advised to read that before posting on urg'
or something of that nature.

Yes. I have taken pot shots at the cat with my catapult
several times, catching it in the act on each occasion, but
missing it each time. Let's face it, the damn cat knows I
am NBG with my catapult.

If you lace it's milk with quinine it will become constipated
according to information available on the WWW.

But it wasn't a one-liner. It followed up good advice with some more
very good advice.

My Passion Flowers do excellently in containers, as do my Morning Glory.
Just put an obilisk within the pot to give them some support, or rig up
some canes, and they grow like wildfire!

And if you've ever taken quinine you'll understand why a cat wouldn't
drink it......
