No, derived from Hypericum perforatum. a perennial, and related
Hypericum species that grow to around 2ft + (with yellow flowers).
Some are fairly common in the UK.

Obviously didn't make myself clear ...

I'm well aware what St John's Wort is and, unless my wife isn't telling
me something, I doubt that St John was just taking wort!
