As we will shortly be moving house (and country), I'm in the throws of a
massive clearout. I can't just take all the gardening magazines etc to the dump ... so ... if anyone would like them, and could collect them (Tadworth, Surrey) - they're free to a good home :-) There are also loads of food and craft magazines too if anyone is interested. -- Lesley Cleaton remove NOSPAM from email address to reply |

practical crafts; crafts beautiful and popular crafts. not complete sets of
any of the magazines. -- Lesley Cleaton remove NOSPAM from email address to reply "DaveDay34" wrote in message ... I might be interested depending on what they are, you see, so if you could enlighten me I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Dave. |

didn't think of that - i did try Nescot - but they will only accept complete runs, and to be honest, I don't have the time to check if there do happen to be any complete runs (although I do think I buy 'everything in sight' Some issues are December 2002 - so we may run into a huge snag with them being too recent - but I could just send the +3yr olds to the hospital (in fact I reckon I'll do that with the general purpose magazines that don't have themes.) Thanks for the idea - its much better than just throwing them out, which I don't feel comfortable with at all. -- Lesley Cleaton remove NOSPAM from email address to reply "Mike" wrote in message ... I think I've just found out why hospitals never have recent reading
material. Just rung our local NHS hospital. There is nowhere (and noone) who would be happy to accept magazines. I am welcome to take them to the hospital and distribute them amoungst the various waiting rooms myself!! If I could deliver them to a central place, I would, but to walk through a hospital that I don't know, looking for waiting rooms to put magazines in is not something that I have time available to do. |

Once I came across an FHM in a clinic, not very appropriate given the different age groups of visitors. -- Eddy Young - Remove _YOUR_CLOTHES_ before replying Homepage http://www.priscimon.com Fingerprint F5DD 6ABA DBE8 F6D5 B561 D3B9 E76C 5C6B F353 225F |

Unfortunately that's a problem, if there's a hospital friends group or something like that maybe they can help in ditributing. I don't think it matters if the reading material is specialist or general.... patients waiting for their appoinments in outpatients are not too worried so long as the read is interesting enough to make the wait fly by, L |

Charity shops may like to take them, or the local doctors surgery, they won't mind how old or new they are, most of them are 'borrowed' anyway. I dump unwanted mags at the local library where people can take as many as they want for 10p in one of the charity boxes there; GP's waiting room, hospital outpatient clinics, and on long-route rural buses. Janet. |
