Default Poinsettia pigment...

My poinsettia has lost it's red pigmentation, and is now all green. Any way
to get it back to red again?

I think it's somthing to do with getting the day-length right. IIRC it needs
12 hours sun and 12 hours dark to turn red again. Unfortunately that's a
bit difficult to provide at this time of year.

You have to start well before Xmas and put the plant in a dark place,
like a cupboard, for at least 12/14 hours a day. I think you should
start this process 8 weeks before you want the red bracts !! I know I
can never be bothered and its easier to buy a new one each Christmas
:~))

Hello. This might not help you now, but next year when it turns back to the
beautiful colors again, this might help keep it that color. My wife just
bought a new one and it had an instruction tag on it. It says to prolong
the bright bract color, keep the temperature between 60 F at night and 72 F
during the days. Now we need a thermometer that lists both measurements.

Good luck. Dwayne
