My poinsettia has lost it's red pigmentation, and is now all green. Any way
to get it back to red again? Marcus |

Poinsettia pigment...
I think it's somthing to do with getting the day-length right. IIRC it needs
12 hours sun and 12 hours dark to turn red again. Unfortunately that's a bit difficult to provide at this time of year. Martin "Marcus Fox" wrote in message ... My poinsettia has lost it's red pigmentation, and is now all green. Any way to get it back to red again? Marcus |

Marcus You have to start well before Xmas and put the plant in a dark place, like a cupboard, for at least 12/14 hours a day. I think you should start this process 8 weeks before you want the red bracts !! I know I can never be bothered and its easier to buy a new one each Christmas :~)) Jenny |

Poinsettia pigment...
Hello. This might not help you now, but next year when it turns back to the
beautiful colors again, this might help keep it that color. My wife just bought a new one and it had an instruction tag on it. It says to prolong the bright bract color, keep the temperature between 60 F at night and 72 F during the days. Now we need a thermometer that lists both measurements. Good luck.
