Default pieris location - sunny?

Hi all

I will be moving a Pieris soon and was wondering if they need a sunny
position to get the best spring colour? It is currently in a sunny spot but
was thinking of moving it to shady one...soild chemistry will be the same -
we have great soil for lime-haters...

My understanding is that Pieris actually like a semi-shady or shady site. Mine is in semi-shade and is doing very well (well - it looks good but has been very slow to grow - don't know if this is usual!).
