Any ideas for some plants that will flower on a balcony during the cooler
months?

Hello Margaret,
Here in the UK we are heading (hopefully) for warmer months !!
Maybe you should try an Australian group :~))

Hi Jenny,
Will do!; but still I saw plenty of nice pots on balconies in London in
the winter; but felt too embarrassed to bowl in and ask what they were!!!

Londoners seem to get away with planting all sorts of winter bedding that
in the rest of the country would wither and die from cold. Tender
cyclamens, for example. They have a bit of a microclimate going over
there.

Pansies and violas are always a good bet for winter planting here - don't
know about your conditions though.
