More botanical than horticultural, I wonder if anybody knows what this is?

It looks like Cherleria sedoides, but i thought that was restricted to
Scottish mountains. If it is, you may have found something unusual for
Wales.

Looks like a club-moss. Checking a guide to non-seed plants, Alpine
Club-Moss looks the best match.

Some sort of club moss was my first guess but the plant has no creeping or
horizontal stems. What you see in the pic is all I saw. Just going to start
looking through any club moss info I can find.
