[IBC] Lichen or knot, here it comes
I'm noticing some very small occurances of pale green (mint ice cream)
colored lichen growing on my little elm. Lichens are harmless, and add to the wabi/sabi of the tree. If they get bigger than you like, scrape off the excess. The presence of lichens tells you that you have clean air, which is good for your trees, too. -- Nina Shishkoff Frederick, MD ************************************************** ****************************** ++++Sponsored, in part, by Mike Page ++++ ************************************************** ****************************** -- The IBC HOME PAGE & FAQ: http://www.internetbonsaiclub.org/ -- +++++ Questions?
