[IBC] Scilla?

I am trying to hunt down info on an accent plant that was sold to a friend and I as Scilla. A google search on that word pulls up references to a plant that looks like a hyacinthe, which this does not seem to be! The plant we have is puple-green in color, longish strap-like leaves, and round bulbs at teh base of the plant that are above the soil surface. Does this sound familiar to any one? Thanks in advance Sure sounds like a scilla allright. The latin name is Scilla sibirica, gets approx. 6" high. Its not a hyacinte but the flowers are similar now that you mention it, but they are not gathered in clusters like on the hyacinthe. Im must warn you this plant is very invasive even here in cold Sweden, so depending on where you live in the US I would be carefull (I have understood that common garden shrubs can act as a weed in the southern parts of US). I've come to this thread late as I recognised the common name
incorrectly... so much for common names ;-) I'm afraid the delete button got the better of me. Ledebouria socialis is a real favourite of mine. I've got an accent pot of this that is a regular feature at our shows. I've grown it from seed and divisions and have maybe 100 of them in pots in my greenhouse. Now what was the original question?
