Default When/how to plant baby swordplants

Hi folks,

One of my Amazon swords shot this stalk thingy up to the surface, and
along the length of this tendril are now found maybe 8 daughter
plants. There's also a leafy/flowery thing opening above the surface.

My question is when and how I should clip these daughter plants from
the stalk. Should I plant them right away, or should I float them?
They all have roots about 2-4 inches long.

Thanks!
