Default Help to identify plants please

Hello,
We live in Ottawa Canada and we have a couple plants in our yard that
my wife feels are flowers, while I think that they are simply good
looking weeds :-) If anyone could help identify them we would
appreciate it very much. Hopefully the links below will provide
images.

The second photo (I'm not sure it is the same as the first or not) is
Henbit. Highly invasive plant that was introduced as ground cover
originally because it covers ground -- FAST. Whether it is a weed or not
depends on whether you like it or not. Personally, I've spent many hours
this spring removing it from herb beds and I consider it a weed but it
can sure look pretty if there's nothing else there.

Some form of Myosotis (forget-me-not). I don't think it's the cultivated
form.

If I saw that in the UK I would identify it as Glechoma hederacea
(ground ivy)

Thanks,
John

First one could be one of several things referred to as forget-me-nots

Yep! I agree! It was sort of hanging around the edges of my tired mind
but I couldn't quite place it.

It's Lamium amplexicaule here in the States but still a ground ivy.

Now that it's been mentioned I'd think that I'd agree with Lamium
amplexicaule. That's absent, or at best scarce, in my part of the UK, so
I don't immediately recognise it.

Lucky you.

so I don't immediately recognise it.

The plants in the first photo are forget-me-nots. I grow them as a flower,
but they self seed all over the place and can take on weed status very
quickly. Just pull any you don't want!

The second I have growing in my flower beds too (Hamilton, ON). I consider
it a weed and is one I will never be rid of :-( It is incredibly invasive.
