Default DIY concrete curbs for edging?

I know this is going to sound like a dumb question to some, but what the
hey, won't be the first time.

Anyone know of a DIY method of forming concrete planting bed edges similar
to the "concrete curb" type edging you see a lot of these days? Even if
it's quite labor-intensive. I just can't afford to have it done
professionally, and it really seems like the ideal way to keep grass out of
the beds and make it easy to mow right up to the border.

TIA
