Sending pictures of orchids?
I tried to send a photo of my newly purchased Phal, but the news server said
it was too big. I use a D200, download the picture to the desktop and try to add it to my message here. Am I not doing something correctly? Thanks....Chuck. |

You need to resize the photos to a manageable pixel size. What do you use
for a photo program? Diana (no expert here, but someone else will be able to help if they have the info.) "Faz" wrote in message news:wjrSj.236350$pM4.147803@pd7urf1no... I load it into Picassa and then try to attach it to this news server. I've
never tried pasting a photo to a news server, so I'm at a loss. Thanks again....Chuck. "Diana Kulaga" wrote in message . .. You need to resize the photos to a manageable pixel size. I've found that reducing the resolution to 72 ppi and the longest axis of the photo to 750 pixels serves very well. You probably already have a photo editing program to do that, but if not, there are several free programs such as Irfan and Agent which other posters seem to like. My camera is Nikon D300. I sized my pics around 3x2 inches, 200 ppi. I use
Adobe 2.0 (quite old, but still works well). There are probably many more recipes for success, but generally smaller pictures go through. "tbell" wrote in message .com...
