Default Wireless Thermometer

I just purchased a Wireless Thermometer & Atomic Alarm Clock from
Target for $25.00
I have the remote in the g/h, works like a charm, sitting here
at the computer it tells me that it is 72 in the g/h & 71dgs here.

My question is this:- If I get another one for the other g/h will the
frequencies conflict?

Wendy,

If your wireless has 3 channels like most of them you can get just the
transmitter (the box you put in the greenhouse) and set it for channel 2.

I have three of them in my greenhouse and a base unit that projects the time
and temp on the ceiling over my bed (oh God sounds so bad when I think about
it). If I wake up at night I can see what the temp is in the greenhouse (no
I'm not crazy....just obsessed).

Who made your thermometer?

Gene

www.oregonscientific.com
They don't show this one on the website?
*g* I could just see my hubby's face now if I had this set up

Wendy, Oregon Scientific has or had one with three channels, too
(EMR899). I can heartily recommend it. Then you have the temperatures
in four different areas, including the base station. There are also
models which tell you more like wind speed, humidity, etc. They are
good products. What else could they be? They're from OREGON!!! :-Þ

I'm not obsessed or crazy but I have one also because things always break
when your not looking like the hot water circulating pump getting an air
block in it in the middle of the night.

Wendy,

I would double check. Oregon Scientific makes good stuff, and I'd almost
lay money down that it has a channel selection switch somewhere.

Yes Dusty, I often envision a setup with a computer & software connected
to the greenhouse with access to all the controls, heating, cooling,
humidity etc. A remote camera with night vision to watch for slugs would
be neat too.
Curious, how does your hot water heating system work?
