Default Muck Vac

OK, so what's the deal on Muck Vac? Anyone ever used it? Is it worth
$65? I do need to find a good vaccuum system for my pond.

I never found one that actually worked, and gave them all away. They just
stir up the bottom, jam, are hard to pump... a fine net works just as well
and can be had for around $10.00. We clean out both ponds yearly and the
nets keep most leaves out. The bottom doesn't get real bad.

What size is your pond? I notice on their web site that they recommend
the Muck Vac for small ponds or water features. Based on our trial of
various pond vacuums over the years (for a 3500gal pond with no bottom
drain), the two things I would recommend are a Python type water changer
(uses lots of water to supply a the suction) or a large shop vac with a
separate pump-out feature (separate pump pumps waste water out of a
hose; can be done at the same time as you vacuum, but I find that it
pumps out faster than I vacuum water in from the pond.)

If you go to his home page, he has a lot of DIY stuff that's really cool.

Don't waste your money, they clog up way too easy.
