And by the time you add on delivery, VAT, import duty etc, it's hardly
worth
it.

I think I said I emailed Rubbermaid in Belgium.
Got no response at all.

Peter

Wow! My apologies for misreading the question and for trying to help.
I'll refrain from doing the same in the future.

No apology necessary, and thanks for trying. :-)

It's just hard getting stock tanks in the UK for anywhere near the prices
you'd pay in the US :-(

Does anyone know where to get hold of a rubbermaid stock tank in
england???
I want to build a skippy filter as the design is really cool but can't
find anyone who can sell me a rubbermaid stock tank, which is needed
for the design...

Any help greatly appreciated...

Cheers

I have a 300-gallon rubbermaid stock tank. Works great as a pond,
btw. I bought it about 10 years ago at a Country General store, which
a farm and ranch supply chain store here in the western US. I don't
know if England would have anything similar, but you might check.
Also, you might check with Rubbermaid to see if they list any
distributorships of their products.
Good luck,
Gary

You might try:

www.fishkeeper.co.uk/br/specs.asp

They have stock tanks for fish.

Thanks
I dont know if they sell them though.

I think the UK contigent (including me) see posts about rubbermaid tanks
going for very cheap prices in the USA, and yes, we'd like to go to Walmart
and be able to do this, but I don't think there will be much here in the UK
as cheap as we'd like :-)

Greetings ...

Until recently I too was searching for these beauties ... but I'm now about to offer them for sale here in the UK !

I haven't yet decided on which sizes to offer, but the 70 Gal (U.S) and the 50 will be available for sure (other sizes later).

If you, or anyone else, are interested, then please leave your details (PM, email or post) and I'll let you have full details when things are finalised.

Just a note : I will also be making the Drain Plug Kits and the Float Valves available also.

Hope this helps ;-)

What bit of the UK do they cover ? ;-)
The OP wanted one in England.
I'd like one in Scotland, but would settle for one in the UK.

I emailed rubbermaid in Europe (I think it was Belgium) over a month ago. I
still haven't heard anything from them :-(

Hi Maxi -
I bet people will really appreciate having the drain plug kits
available. Whata good idea! It sure would have been nice to have
that all put together for me when I bought my tank several years ago.
Will you be including sealant or instructions on what to use with your
kit? I had a devil of a time finding a sealant that would work, and
finally I got some help from my neighbor, who happens to be in the
business of building large polymer aquaria. Just a thought...
