Default Muskogee Crape Myrtle Growth Rate

Hi All,

Last fall I planted a couple of Crape Myrtles
of the Muskogee variety. I plan to grow them to
small trees. They are only one foot tall now.
All reading material say they are "fast-growing",
my question is what does that mean?
Should I expect two or three feet of growth per year?

Thanks,
Art
