LOL - use T posts, but make it a "deer" fence (8'+)
plus! We just finished one & it's awesome. Keeps the
deer out & is a GREAT arbor as well. We will cover it with
evergreen vines & it will look great as well. We are running
irrigation around the base today to insure rapid vegetation.

Replace it with a wire fence.
It's stronger, cheaper and longer lasting. 6' farm fencing and T-posts
requires no digging either. ;-)

Then just plant wild grapes and honeysuckle, and misc. other vines of
your choice to cover it.

It'll last forever. That's what I did and it's quite nice.

What are you planting?

The grapes are deciduous but the honeysuckle keeps leaves all winter,
just have not had good coverage with them, and it's taking forever for
the trumpet vines to grow.

Come to BrairCliff you will be assured unless you have 8' fence that the
deer will come
in, especially if you grow roses. Dogs won't keep them out as many dogs
in BrairCliff
run loose as there is NO leash law in that community. But the deer or
multiplying
10 fold and have no fear of humans nor their dogs really.

What are you planting?


Carolina Jasmine for one stays green and with full leave all winter long
and all summer. Gets fairly large fairly quickly when planted in the right
location.

Coral Honeysuckle seems to take forever to grow.


The grapes are deciduous but the honeysuckle keeps leaves all winter,

There is another variety that is similar but with a lighter pink shade.
Apparently
they withstand drought and sun better then the coral honey suckle do. I wish
I could recall the name of them. They have several at my Agility Club is
S. Austin.

Backstrap is good...

Roast shoulder, young doe, good too!
Stab all over and stuff garlic slivers in the stabs, top with rosemary
and thyme and cover the herbs with cabbage leaves to keep them moist
while the roast cooks. ;-d
