It was a bit on American TV spoofing all the junk commercials. Basically a
blender with a whole fish being dropped into it, then a pretty girl
drinking a foamy green beverage exclaiming, "Now, that's great Bass!"

I lost my singing fish in the heat from the kitchen fire last month, but
got another on E-Bay, to my daughters' chagrin.

Hi Boypete,
The Tim Hills forum was closed because of an attack of the trolls.

THat was a pity as the site was turning out to be very well done.

will give new site/forum a try thanks.

Hello Some months ago, someone by the name of Tim Hills set up a forum
for pondkeepers. Unfortunately, for reasons not know, the forum
disappeared. I only have a small garden, and planting is now mainly pot
based, plus a pond. I know many keen gardeners also have ponds. Being in
need of a pond group, all I found was a group full of trolls. I have a
friend who runs a forum with several boards covering different interests.
( http://www.karlsforums.com/forums/ ) If I can find enough support, he is
prepared to initiate a pond forum. It is intended to be mainly for 'back
garden ponders' rather than more specialised/expensive set-ups. If anyone
here is interested, the link below will take you to my thread in KF
requesting the forum. You may if you like, join KF's and post a support
message.

Thank you for your time and bandwidth.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I didn't mean "for specialists", but simply
"too narrow in focus". I don't know how many UK gardeners who use
newsgroups also have ponds, but I'd guess that it was too small a
number to sustain a newsgroup.

You could be right, which is why I'm trying to get a board going in Karls
Forum, which won't need as much traffic as a ng to keep it going.

Indeed, I thought it was going to be successful.
Your support would be appreciated.

You don't drink with the lads, absolutely disgraceful, I thought all mature

I'd really appreciate anyones contribution. This is a quiet time of year
for ponds, but aquaria enthusiasts are welcome too. Thanks

Not mine ;-)

Went to fish out a bin liner that had blown in with all this wind and
found at least half a dozen frogs hiding under it!

Also, Aponogeton distachyos (Water hawthorn) in full bloom.

Have bookmarked your site.

You don't by any chance have a picture you could let me see? I need to
increase my planting in the spring.

Have bookmarked your site.

Thanks. Do drop in, sign up and maybe post a bit about your setup?

Its main talent is its scent - strong but elusive - you pass the pool
and are hit by it, stop and sniff and try to find where it's coming
from, and it's hard to catch.
