Default Garden ornament theft

Maybe it time to remind people about Garden ornament theft.

It is probably the time of year to be sure your garden ornaments are
secured.

We, my neighbour and I have lost one very heavy stone cat, one stone lion
from a dividing wall which had been there 6 years and a piece of driftwood 7
ft long from my gravelled garden in just a few weeks. And another neighbour
lost a stone Bird feeder.

Thieves are relentless, spotting their booty and coming back in the dead of
night to collect.

If at all possible ensure your Garden ornaments are well secured either with
bolts or cement.

When my next-door neighbour moved he hopped over the fence and stole my
mooning gnome and my flashing gnome from beside the pond.

I half expected photographs of them, through the post, taken in exotic
locations but after 6 years nothing has been forthcoming (

Previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer ^W^W^W^W uk.rec.gardening, I
heard Alan Gabriel say...

I hope you wrote and thanked him ;-)

I emailed a picture of the lion to my next door neighbour, just for a
keepsake you understand.

They pointed out to me that a large flat round stone (like a big fat
smartie) had also disappeared from my garden. I mean fer crissake a bloody
stone.

Shows the lion and the stone is at the bottom of the picture.

This lion is a "one off" the company who made it broke the first one out of
the mould, the second, this one, was given to my neighbour after they
decided it would be to difficult to reproduce in quantity.
