It's the most extraordinary thing but every time we light the Aga the weather improves and as soon as we put it out, it becomes dire. Two days ago I complained about how cold it has become and Ray sort of pooh poohed me. But today, at lunchtime, I idly remarked that it had gone dark and got colder. A few minutes later, he re-lit the Aga without another word. What I'm now worried about is what he knows that I don't! -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.com South Devon (new website online but not completed - shop to come and some mild tweaking to do!) |

Like washing the car to make sure it rains. ;-) I've found that going on holiday makes it rain. Have you looked at the Scilly webcams this morning? http://www.scillyman.co.uk/HTWebcam.html Ssshhhh! It's horrid here, grey, spotting with rain and windy. Ah well, soon be Christmas. ;-) snip -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.com South Devon (new website online but not completed - shop to come and some mild tweaking to do!) |

I think we've had two evenings when we've wanted to take our wine outside and sit overlooking the garden. We haven't done a real 'bat watch' once yet this year, though we did see some flying around under the Atlantic cedar when we did a garden tour a couple of nights ago.
