Where did you dig up that load of shite? "SS can rust." Go back to school, ****. Actually Mike is correct, it can rust, it just does so much less and more slowly and a lot depends on which grade of steel is used. Dead right. Having sailed yachts for 20+ years, S/S fittings and rails do rust in time. They haven't on my 36 year old yacht. I didn't say mine did. It's fine if looked after. The arguments about the merits and properties ae largely superfluous I actually have a degree in metallurgy and spent around 30 years heat treating steels, some of them stainless steels The watering can was sold to me as stainless steel I would not expect it to start to rust after less than a year. It is not fit for purpose. It is rather unlikely that I would use it to apply anaerobic seawater to my plants!!!!!!! Did it rust around the welds? *I have seen inappropriate welding rods being used on stainless. If you heat s/s steel enough it stops being stainless. -- Martin So that's what happened to my hob in the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judith |

Half-price wine, free delivery and double points does it for me sometimes, ®óñ© © ²°¹°-°¹ according to a documentary on tescos some time ago, apart from regrinding out of date meat and re selling as fresh mince, they were reported as getting wine producers to up the price of certain wines so they could reduce the price on them as a marketing ploy. |
