Default Labels ... again. *An idea*

As Membership Secretary of The Friends of Shanklin Theatre,
http://www.friendsofshanklintheatre.org.uk/ I was laminating dozens of
Membership Cards and wondered if anyone has made their own labels on sheets
of paper, 'cut and paste' comes to mind, and then laminating the sheet and
afterwards cutting it up into label form?

Anyone tried it?

Mike

First thought is that once cut up you would have the edges of the
label exposed, as laminating only seals the edges of the 'paper'

but like the idea of thinking 'out of the box,' and so doing it in a
different way.

Yup, but if you cut up into labels first and lay out in the laminating
pouch with gaps between before laminating/cutting then it would work

But if the labels were cut before laminating then there would not be a
problem!

And where you punch the hole to attach the string/wire to tie them to
the plant will degrade the plastic, the wire or let water in.

I tried using plastic tie on garden labels that had a hole punched
through and a metal eye set in but after 1 night of wind they had
started to break up, the eye pulling through the label, after around 2
months there wasn't one left intact out of 100, and to add to the
problems they had blown about so were not even close to the plant they
refered to.
