Default Odd stuff in soil

While doing some weeding just now (to get rid of that blinkin' awful
oxalis!!) I found a clump of what looked like eggs of some sort under
the soil and not knowing what they were I wonder if anyone knows? They
were white, almost transparent, about the size of a peppercorn and in
a clump of about 50 or so. We do get a frog in the garden - any
connection?
