Default What did Santa bring?

Well I got a washer/dryer - energy efficiency rating "B". I told my
colleague from work, my opposite number in "public sector", and she said,
"Get thee behind me, satan!" - We both work in energy efficiency/renewable
energy for our local council. She's not speaking to me now, because I didn't
get an "A" rated one.

Still not sure how FC got it down the chimbley, though ;-) He did a good job
of plumbing it in, too.

Oh - and a nice bottle of Lindisfarne mead . . . :-)

The National Truss mugs are more reliable.

No. Just the experience of two National Truss Gardeners mugs lasting
almost a year in a household, where the average mug lasts about 6
months.

Perhaps she doesn't dare drop these two.

One of ours has developed a crack in the handle.
Seems there's a pattern emerging.

In fact those of more than fifteen years ago were a delight to look at and
to use.
Their aesthetic value has since deteriorated

They are very expensive. We think that they are bought by NT very
cheap. We have seen identical mugs with different decorations in York
market for a fraction of the NT price. There is not a name of the
pottery on the mugs.

I have the five remaining mugs of a set of twelve which used to hang on
the Welsh dresser when I were an anklebiter. They must be fifty years
old if they're a day.

Gosh! our mugs usually last for years! My fave is a small bone china one that was my
tea mug at work in the 80's. It's lived in 3 countries and moved house half a dozen
times.

Was it new? They're rather cute mugs, but not if they don't work.
