Does anyone have any good advice for controlling the rabbit population
at the bottom of my garden?

A decent air rifle and a freezer?

The local rabbit population extends far beyond the bottom of your
garden. The best, most effective method of protecting your garden from
them is to fence them out with wire netting. Buy it cheaper from a
fencing or farm supplier; DIY sheds and garden centres charge exorbitant
prices.

There are no options - this is the only way to remove most chances of
loss and damage. (watch out for fallen branches, snow etc breaching
your defences) The gun and freezer route gives you the chance to kill
things if that's your bag, but they will be revenge killings - you'll
still get rabbit damage.

I have been down this road, and it is the only effective way. there are
(aren't there always) disadvantages, I now no longer get the frogs,
toads and hedgehogs, so I have slug problems!
