Default Miiserable fuchsias in pots

Hi,
I have 3 fuchsias about 3 years old in 30 cm pots ( one in each) on my patio
where they have had plenty of sun and watering. This season, there has been
a pretty poor show of flowers and they have not sent out any new shoots. I
have a feeling that they would be happier in the flower bed. Am I right? Do
they like more space than I have given them?
Thank you.

Brian

Hi Brian
You didn't mention feeding them, lack of feeding will lead to poor flowering
and poor growth, it would also lead to leak discoloration.

Hi Brian,

I've had the same plants in pots for 4 years now (in
Aberdeen). They sit out in all weathers, but every spring I prune them, give
them a bit of protection to cut down on any frost damage, and give them a
regular feed - you can get specialised ones, but my plants seem to enjoy
tomorite once a week or so from May / June onwards till Sept
