I believe the BBC gets a steady flow of complaints about ITV programmes! From Sacha? :-) You really should pay more attention to what appears on your own screen, and who put it there. "10 Years! Coronation Street Weekly Updates for th'Interne http://www.corrieweeklyupdates.btinternet.co.uk" was posted by Glenda underneath her own topical post. It's her usual sig, not a comment on this thread or the BBC. Spider replied to Glenda's post, quoting it in full. Sacha replied to Spider's remarks, not to Glenda's sig. Whoever posted " I hope the director got a thrill out of it - we were even further incensed by this waste of our licence money." was criticising the BBC. Yes, that was me. But I mentioned nothing about any other programme on any channel. -- Sacha www.hillhousenursery.co.uk South Devon (remove the weeds to email me) |

Quote:
in spite of their time honoured denials, are interested in one thing and one thing only, - competition with their peers in the matter of ratings. Their future employment depends on this. They have a simplistic formula for achieving this, - Faces, faces, faces, - noise, - colour, - excitement, (however achieved), - any kind of gimmickry, - second by second change and movement. They invariably trash every possibly interesting program by their inability to break out of this straight jacket. Did you notice how Monty and Carol et al, in last weeks gardening show, were being encouraged to "hot it up" with the superlatives. I don't give a monkeys what they think of a plant only whether I like it. They will never understand why Geoff Hamilton was so popular. Have a nice one Dave

The drunken hacks can be responsible citizens!) - What I thought was the most utter rubbish that verged on the insulting, was all that fatuous 'teasing' stuff about someone cramming himself into a wet suit and the camera play on his supposed six pack or firkin or it- is.- I hope the director got a thrill out of it - we were even further incensed by this waste of our licence money.- snip This post is a year or more old. Why is it being rehashed now? It has nothing to do with this year's Chelsea. -- Sacha www.hillhousenursery.co.uk South Devon email address on web site |
